Letter to Mayor Francis X. Collins (1902-1990) of Salem, MA inviting him to attend the Gables Settlement 50th Anniversary Dinner. The letter is dated 9/15/1960. Though born in Peabody, Collins was raised in Salem and served as its mayor for 20 years. He attended Salem Public Schools and graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 1922. The Collins Middle school in Salem is named for him. |
