Description |
Work table, circa 1830 An American rosewood grained and painted pine drop leaf work table. The table is oblong when open. The top and leaves have straight edges. The leaves are attatched with iron hinges and are supported by molded side wings with finger joints. The front has two drawers with double stampled brass pulls. The tapering turned legs have ring-and-ball turnings and end in small ball feet. The undersides of the leaves are smoke grained on a putty and yellow colored field. |
