Apothecary Jar, circa 1750 A mid-eighteenth century Delft Faience apothecary jar with blue and white painted decoration. The jar has a flat circular bottom, ovoid main body and a wide mouth with a slight outwardly flairing lip. The decoration consists of lettering "E: E: SCORD" surrounded by various floral motifs, tendrils, scrolls, a scallop shell and wing cherubs. |
