Description |
Washstand, circa 1834 American fancy-painted washstand, yellow with mustard and black edging and stencil on backsplash of dark purple/black plums with green leaves. Top level has hole in center for washbowl, two smaller holes for accessories, and two small triangular shelfs. Bottom shelf is flat, with small drawer with brass pull. Owned by the Manning family (Hawthorne's maternal uncles). |
