Description |
Chinese Export Plate, circa 1800 or earlier. One of nine hand-painted blue and white plates in the Canton style, no mark, early date. Greenish tinge to overglaze. Circular footed bottom, stepped sides, and a plain rim; a banded and gadrooned border, a banded border at the well, and central river scene with a bridge, boats, islands, trees and a pagoda structure. |
