Gables Doll, 20th Century The peg-jointed doll is wearing a white and red polka dress, with straw hat with red feather and ribbon, white pantaloons and red painted shoes. Oval head with black hair and applied side curls, black eyes, red lips. From around 1920 to the 1980s, the Gables Gift Shop commissioned and sold reproduction peg-jointed dolls with period clothes made by Gables staff and volunteers. |
