Description |
Slat-backed chair, circa 1750. Ladderback or slat-backed chair with arched ladders in diminishing sizes, turned straight stiles with finials, front stretcher has a double baluster turning, front legs are turned at the top on otherwise straight legs. Each side has two round stretchers, one on the back for a total of six, feet pads have a thin, double line to mark the foot pad. Rush seat. Probably made in Pennsylvannia. |
