The pitcher has a circular footed bottom, ovoid main body, wide cylindrical neck with integral spout, applied squared handle and plain rim. There is one central pastoral scene. A stone quadruple-arched bridge spans a peaceful stream. A recumbent and standing cow are at the water's edge. Several people and a horse are on the bridge. A round crenelated tower is on the opposite bank. Foliated trees and rolling hills complete the picture. The inner and outer rim, the handle and the area flanking the main scene are decorated with various flowers and leaves. |
