Description |
Highchair, circa 1834 American Windsor fancy painted highchair. Spindleback with painted crest rail, arm suports , turned legs connected by four stretchers. Yellow painted base with black and brown striped decorative edging. Crest rail decorated with stenciled fruits and leaves, spindles painted faux bamboo. Owned by the Manning family (Hawthorne's maternal uncles). |
